What are the advantage to buy a laptop instead of a PC?

I was wondering if I buy a laptop I will be studying much more? When I am home I don’t study a lot now if I get a laptop I will go to the library and maybe study a lot of more. Do you guys think it is a good investment in that regard?

    That is the EXACT reason my wife got her laptop. It has helped quite a bit in that regard.

    These days, laptops can do just about anything a desktop can. Of course it depends on the laptop and what you buy in terms of power, storage, etc.

    Laptops are better for most people because you can just sit on the couch or at the table, or even on the deck and email, surf the web, do your homework, etc…

    If you consider yourself just an average PC user and not a NASA engineer or a evil genius, then a laptop will suit you fine.

    It’s definitely more convenient and portable. Other than that, not much. You will pay more for less, but you will probably use it more if you feel like moving it around with you all the time.
    Don’t fool yourself into spending money on it by using studying as an excuse though. Yeah, it may work- but then again you may just be looking to justify buying something you otherwise wouldn’t. I say, if you really CAN afford it, you don’t have to justify it. If you can’t, I would look for other motivation to study.

    yeah laptops are way better. more portable that can still deliver good power but not as much as desktop computer.
    though if considering a desktop DONT GET. get a desktop replacement like dell or toshiba. (they are 17 inch)

    and if ur not going to use it to play games get the laptop around 500-900AUD.

    The only thing that is better is it will be alot faster than the PC because you won’t have the files you have on your PC, and it’s portable so you can do your thing with studying faster and easier.
