BlahBlahBlah asked:

I have had so many problems with my laptop. I do not really take it anywhere so I am considering buying a new desktop.

What do you think?
Would you suggest an apple?

If your not going to be carrying it around with you then i highly suggest a desktop. They are far more powerful and upgradable. I suggest the Apple iMac. The word on the street is Apple will be releasing new iMacs soon, so if you don’t need it immediately, wait a bit.

If you do not think you would ever plan on taking it somewhere you would be better off getting a desktop/tower. They are more easily upgraded and usually cost less for about the same configurations. I personally don’t like apple, because they are very proprietary in their computers making it hard to upgrade anything. The cheapest way would be to build your own. It really isn’t that hard and I would be willing to help you find affordable parts for what you’re wanting and your price range. Just send me a personal message on here or e-mail me and I’ll see what I can do.

It depends on what you use it for. If you do a lot of gaming or use software that are big system and performance hogs then you may want to get a desktop. You can get a desktop and laptop with similar stats and abilities but the laptop would be more expensive, you tend to pay for the mobility.

I have both a laptop and desktop, my desktop is loaded with everything and everything I need and use. My laptop only has the software that I need when I’m away from home.

If you only use it at home I’d say get a desktop, the money you save getting it over a laptop you could put to more high end components :)
