I have been researching laptops for about a year now, after my old one… ‘ceased to function’. I need to choose between the HP g62t laptop and the Best Buy exclusive Dell Studio 15z (1569). I will format both to similar specs, but the Dell will still cost more. I haven’t been able to do a through side-by-side comparison and need to know which would be the best choice. Also, compare the keyboards. I can’t stand Mac keyboards and don’t want anything even resembling one.
To clarify, I don’t want a mac. Never have, never will.

I am going to college next year and will be shopping for a laptop. I heard Windows 7 will be coming out in 2009 and also USB 3.0 drives on computers near Christmas time in 2009. Also I am thinking about adding a Blu-ray drive to the laptop but I am still unsure. Should I wait to purchase the laptop or just get one in the summer of 09 and upgrade later?
